Supported browsers

Send works directly in your browser — no app required. For the best experience, use:

  • DuckDuckGo

  • Firefox

  • Chrome (latest version)

  • Safari (on Mac or iOS)

  • Microsoft Edge

Older browser versions may still work, but you may encounter upload or download issues, particularly with larger files or multiple uploads.

Operating system compatibility

Send works on:

  • Windows (10 and above)

  • macOS

  • Linux (most major distros)

  • iOS and Android via mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari)

There’s no native mobile app (yet), but the mobile web version is fully functional, including uploading, sharing, and downloading.

File size and limits

Here’s what’s supported right now:

  • Up to 50 files per transfer

  • Maximum total transfer size: 4 GB

  • No folders (but zipped folders work just fine)

Transfers expire automatically after 7 days.

Internet connection

A stable connection helps, especially if you’re uploading larger files or hitting the 4 GB limit. If your connection drops, the transfer may restart from scratch.

  • Upload speed matters more than download speed here.

  • We don’t throttle bandwidth, but your ISP might.

JavaScript and cookies

Make sure both are enabled in your browser. We use them to:

  • Verify your email

  • Generate and track your transfer session

  • Let you copy the link after the upload completes

If you're using aggressive privacy settings or browser extensions (like ad blockers or anti-tracking tools), some features might not work correctly.
