Store keeps files in your Hivenet account so you can access them from another device. Start with one small file and check that you can retrieve a usable copy before adding more. You need an internet connection and space on your device for the downloaded copy.

Choose how to use Store

If you see Unlock Store on web and desktop, read Before you convert to Protocol V2 first. The self-service conversion does not carry over files from the previous version. Keep any working access open until you have saved the files you need.

Upload a first file in the web app

  1. Keep the original file in its current location. Choose a small file you can recognize and open.

  2. Open the web app, sign in and go to Store.

  3. Select Upload files, or open the + menu and select Upload file.

  4. Select your file and keep the browser tab open while it uploads.

  5. Wait for the upload to finish. If you see Error uploading, resolve the error before relying on the stored copy.

Check the stored copy

  1. Find the file in All files. Open its menu and select Download.

  2. Save the downloaded copy separately from the original. Open it and check that its contents are complete.

  3. Keep the original until you have confirmed that the downloaded copy works.

  4. Record the Hivenet account used and where the original and downloaded copy are saved.

A file name in the list does not prove that its upload finished. If the upload fails, keep the original and read the error shown in the app. Your available Store storage and free space on the device are separate limits. Follow any file-size message shown in the app.

If the file will not upload, download or open, keep the original. Contact Hivenet Support with your device and app or browser version, the step that failed and the exact message before adding more files.

Continue using Store

On a Mac, follow the Finder integration guide to add files through My Disk.

Store on another device gives you access to the same account. Keep an independent copy of files you cannot afford to lose. For sending files to someone or starting a computing task, use Choose a Hivenet product.
