Standard Send links are available for 7 days. If a link stops working before its displayed expiration date, first check the original link and the exact message.
Check the link and deadline
Ask the sender for the complete original link. Check that no part was cut off when it was copied.
Check the transfer's Expiration date, if it is still visible, or ask the sender for it. Receiving or forwarding a link later does not restart its deadline.
Read the message. A password prompt, wrong-password message, or failed download needs a different check from an expired transfer.
If a password is rejected, ask the sender to confirm it through a separate message. A password error does not by itself mean the transfer has expired. For a download or browser error, use Send upload and download troubleshooting.
If Send says the transfer has expired
The old link is not providing access. If the deadline has passed, use Send expiry and finding an existing copy to check for a downloaded copy or ask the sender for a new transfer. Forwarding the old link will not extend it.
If the deadline has not passed
Record the exact message, the expected expiration date, and when the problem happened, including your time zone.
Ask the sender when the transfer was created. Keep the original link privately and note your browser, device, and any checks you tried.
Contact Hivenet Support to report that the transfer stopped working before its deadline. Keep the reply with those details.
Support can investigate the failure, but recovery or an extension is not guaranteed. If you need the files urgently, ask the sender for a new transfer from a copy they can still open.
Keep passwords and private file contents out of the report. If Support requests the transfer link, provide it through the private Support conversation.
