New Hivenet contribution setups are currently paused. If you already have a contribution Agent on a computer, NAS or server, check compatibility for that installed version with Hivenet Support before changing it.
The contribution Agent and the current Store apps have different requirements. To access your own files in Store, use the Store compatibility guide.
Check an existing installation
Note the device or NAS model, operating system and version, and processor type.
Note the installed Agent or container version and how it was installed, if known.
Describe what you want to change or the exact error you see.
Keep the current installation and configuration while compatibility is checked. Avoid reinstalling, replacing the container or removing its data as a first step. An old list of build targets does not establish current support for your installation.
Hardware and security questions
Do not buy or reformat a drive for a new contribution setup while availability is paused. Ask Support about an existing installation before relying on older storage, memory, filesystem or network specifications.
Encryption protects stored file contents. It does not establish that a computer or the Agent software is free of security risks. If you are concerned about an existing installation, describe the behavior to Support and keep your device's security protections enabled.
Before changing a contribution drive
Contributed storage is space provided to the Hivenet network. It is separate from the local copies of your own Store files. If you want to free space used by your own files, keep a usable separate copy and ask Support which local-storage action applies to your Store app before moving or deleting anything.
Moving or removing a folder, or reformatting the drive, can interrupt the installation or remove data it needs. Keep the current drive and configuration in place until you have the steps for your version. Keep a separate usable copy of any personal files on a drive before changing it.
Record which drive is currently used, its available space, and the drive you want to use. Include the filesystem if you know it.
Explain why you want to change it. Note any error and whether the current drive is still accessible.
Contact Hivenet Support with these details and the installation information listed above. Ask for the supported method, what will happen to the existing contribution data and how to check the result afterward.
Do not assume that an older Change drive instruction applies to your installed version.
Get help for the task
Troubleshoot an existing contribution Agent for connection status, network data use or a Linux service/container problem.
Ask Hivenet Support about a different balance or contribution total. Include the dates and values you expected; no credit entitlement is established by this guide.
