Show the Hivenet icon in the Windows system tray

Find a hidden Hivenet icon near the clock, or check the installed app if no icon appears.

The Hivenet icon may be hidden in the Windows system tray near the clock. Start with the hidden icons, then check the installed app if Hivenet is not listed.

Show a hidden icon

  1. Select the Show hidden icons arrow near the clock.

  2. Look for Hivenet in the panel.

  3. If it is there, drag the icon out of the panel into the visible system tray area near the clock.

On Windows 11, you can also right-click an empty area of the taskbar, select Taskbar settings, and open Other system tray icons. Turn on Hivenet if it is listed. If the hidden-icons arrow is missing, enable the hidden-icon menu in that section and check again.

If Hivenet is not among the icons

  1. Open Start and search for Hivenet.

  2. Open the installed app and note whether it responds or shows an error.

  3. Check both the visible system tray and the hidden-icons panel again.

If Windows cannot find Hivenet, follow the official app downloads page. If an older app is your only way to reach files, contact Support before replacing it.

Check the result

If the icon is now beside the clock, the visibility change has worked. Open Hivenet from Start to check the app's connection and file status. A visible icon does not confirm that the app is connected or that an upload or download has finished.

If the icon still does not appear

Contact Hivenet Support with your Windows and Hivenet versions. Say whether the icon was hidden, whether Start finds the app, whether it opens, and the exact error if one appears.

If Support asks for logs, ask for instructions for your app version. If the app will not open, send the details you have. Do not sign out or reinstall it just to collect logs.
