Understanding failed uploads
A failed upload happens when a file you’re trying to upload to Hivenet doesn’t transfer successfully. This can happen due to:
Internet disruptions – A weak or lost connection, switching networks, or enabling Airplane Mode mid-upload.
File issues – Corrupted files or unsupported formats may not upload properly.
App crashes or interruptions – If Hivenet unexpectedly closes, the upload may stop.
When this happens, Hivenet marks the file as failed and shows an error message next to it in the app.
Can I still see my failed uploads?
Yes, failed uploads remain visible in the app even if you try uploading the same file again. However, they’re not stored in your Hivenet cloud account. They only stay on the activity list, so you can review or remove them.
How to resume a failed upload
You can retry a failed upload quickly:
Mobile – Tap the file with the failed status to restart the upload.
If the upload still doesn’t go through, check your connection and try the troubleshooting steps below.
How to remove a failed upload
Failed uploads won’t disappear automatically. You’ll need to remove them manually:
Desktop – Right-click the failed file and select Remove file.
Mobile – Tap the three-dot menu next to the file, then select Remove file.
This removes the failed instance from your activity list but won’t affect your original file.
What to do if your file keeps failing
If an upload keeps failing, try these steps:
✅ Check your internet connection – Make sure you’re online and your connection is stable.
🔄 Refresh your Hivenet folder – (Desktop) Right-click the Hivenet folder and select Refresh.
🚀 Restart the app – A quick restart can clear minor glitches.
📂 Check the file format – Ensure the file type is supported and isn’t corrupted.
If none of these steps work, try uploading the file again later or contact support for help.
How to prevent failed uploads
To avoid upload failures:
Keep a strong, stable internet connection during uploads.
Avoid interrupting the process, like switching networks or closing the app too soon.
Make sure your files are intact and in a supported format.
