How to manually refresh a folder in hiveDisk:

  1. Navigate to the folder:

    • Open the hiveDisk application on your desktop and navigate to the folder you wish to refresh. This is where you expect to see files uploaded from your mobile device.

  2. Initiate the refresh:

    • Right-click on the folder within hiveDisk.

      • If you're using Windows and see a basic context menu, select 'Show more options' for the full context menu.

    • From the hiveDisk options in the context menu, choose 'Refresh Folder.'

How to refresh folder on hiveDisk for macOS

  1. Check for updates:

    • After selecting 'Refresh Folder,' hiveDisk will synchronize the folder's contents with the server. Check the folder after the refresh to see if the files uploaded from your mobile device are now visible.

This manual refresh forces hiveDisk to update the folder's contents and display any recently uploaded files from other devices. This process can be particularly useful if automatic synchronization seems delayed or there are connectivity issues.

Troubleshooting

If the files still don't appear after a manual refresh:

  • Ensure that your devices are connected to the internet.

  • Check if the files were successfully uploaded from your mobile device.

  • Restart the hiveDisk application on your desktop.
