Steps to restore the Hivenet icon:

  1. Locate the Hivenet icon:

    • After updating Hivenet, if you previously positioned the Hivenet icon on your taskbar, it might reset to the overflow menu. The overflow menu is accessible via a small upward arrow (^) on your taskbar.

  2. Access the overflow menu:

    • Click on the upward arrow (^) to open the overflow menu where background applications reside.

  3. Restore the icon to the system tray of the taskbar:

    • Within the overflow menu, find the Hivenet icon.

    • Click and drag the Hivenet icon from the overflow menu back to the arrow (^) to pin it on the taskbar for easy access.

This repositioning might be required after each significant update to Hivenet, as Windows tends to reset taskbar customizations during certain application updates.

Troubleshooting: If the Hivenet icon is not visible in either the taskbar or the overflow menu, ensure that:

  • Hivenet for Windows is running. You can check this from the Start menu or search for Hivenet in Windows.

  • Start the application if it's not running, and the icon should appear in the overflow menu.
