When a Send link reaches its 7-day limit, Hivenet erases every piece of the file from the network—no backups, no hidden copies, nothing left behind. This strict approach is intentional: it protects your privacy and keeps your data from lingering online longer than you want.
If you or your recipient need the file after it’s expired, you’ll need to upload and share it again as a brand new transfer. There’s no way to recover a deleted or expired file, even if you contact Support.
If you need longer-term access, or want to avoid re-uploading the same files again and again, consider using our cloud storage service. That way, you can keep important files available as long as you need, with more control over sharing and expiry.
