What to do if your upload or download stops before it’s finished.

If your upload is interrupted

Interruptions can happen if:

  • Your internet connection drops

  • You close your browser or put your computer/phone to sleep

  • You switch apps or lock your phone during upload (especially on mobile)

  • The browser tab crashes or refreshes

When this happens, the upload usually fails and any files in progress are not saved.

You’ll need to start the upload again from the beginning.

Tip: For large transfers, use a desktop device and keep your browser open and active until you see the confirmation screen.

If your download is interrupted

Download interruptions can be caused by:

  • Connection loss or Wi-Fi drop

  • Computer or phone going to sleep

  • Antivirus or firewall blocking the download

  • Closing the browser tab mid-download

In most cases, just refresh the download link and try again. If the transfer has expired (over 7 days old), you’ll need the sender to upload the file again.

Can I resume an interrupted transfer?

Not at this time. If an upload or download is interrupted, you’ll need to start over.

How to avoid interruptions

  • Use a stable internet connection

  • Avoid switching apps or letting your device sleep during transfers

  • For large or important files, transfer on desktop
