What is Hivenet responsible for?

The cloud is only as secure as the system behind it—here’s what we protect.

As a user, you shouldn't have to worry about whether the platform itself is reliable. That’s our job.

While Hivenet is built on a distributed network (powered by contributors like you), we still manage the core systems and services that keep everything running.

Here’s what we’re responsible for:

Hivenet takes care of:

  • Our infrastructure
We maintain any Hivenet-operated physical hardware or cloud components that support core services.

  • System reliability
We ensure our software is up to date, patched, and secured to defend against known threats.

  • Redundancy and availability
We distribute data across our global network to minimize risk and ensure you can access your files when you need them.

  • Fault tolerance
We implement systems to detect and recover from hardware or node failure, keeping your data safe even if something breaks.

  • Network integrity
We protect the underlying network and data routing protocols that make the distributed cloud possible.

All of this happens quietly in the background—but it’s the foundation that lets you trust Hivenet with your data.

Up next: what you’re responsible for.
