How can I test my setup regularly?

If you never check your backups, are they even real?

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: a backup strategy only works if it actually works.

So before we close out this section, here’s one final habit to adopt—test your setup every now and then.

What to test:

  • Can you restore a file from Hivenet?

  • Are your synced folders still updating properly?

  • Is anything out of place—or missing entirely?

You don’t need to do this every day. Once a quarter is enough for most people. Make it a calendar reminder, tie it to tax season, or do it when the clocks change—whatever helps you remember.

Worst-case scenarios are rare. But they happen.

And when they do, you’ll want to know that your files are safe, your setup is solid, and your future self is high-fiving past you for taking the time to check.

You’re now fully equipped to use Hivenet with confidence, intention, and a backup plan that actually works.
