Can I replace email attachments with Send?

A better way to share large files without clogging up inboxes or hitting limits.

Why use Send instead of attaching files to an email?

  • Most email providers cap attachments at 20–25 MB. With Send, you can share up to 4 GB in one go.

  • Recipients don’t get bulky attachments—just a clean download link.

  • Files are encrypted before they leave your device and aren’t stored in your email account.

  • You choose exactly who gets the link and when.

How does it work?

  1. Upload your files at send.hivenet.com (up to 50 files, 4 GB total).

  2. Copy the private link we give you.

  3. Paste that link into your email, chat, or any message.

  4. The recipient clicks the link and downloads your files—no Hivenet account or signup required.

What about attachments I want to keep or resend later?

If you need permanent storage or want to share files multiple times, check out our cloud storage service. Send is built for quick, temporary sharing; links expire after 7 days.

Can I use Send for work files or sensitive data?

Yes. Every transfer is end-to-end encrypted, and you can add a password for extra security. Just remember to send the password separately for best results.

Tips for a smoother switch

  • For regular sharing, bookmark Send for easy access.

  • Let your contacts know they’ll be getting a secure link, not a bulky attachment.

  • Use desktop for large or important files to avoid upload interruptions.
